Join us for an engaging event that will deepen your understanding of Codevelopment Action Learning (CAL) and its application in coaching.

The session will kick off with a warm welcome and a brief overview of CAL, followed by breakout groups where you'll practice Step 0 using the CAL Topic Preparation Sheet. 

Then we will open the floor for an interactive Q&A session. Participants will also explore how to integrate CAL into their coaching practices in dedicated breakout discussions.

  • Apply CAL in Coaching: Identify where CAL fits into your coaching practice and get practical tips to start CAL groups that solve client challenges.
  • Expand Coaching Services with CAL: Discover how to use CAL in group coaching programs to co-create solutions, speed up client growth, and offer new services.

CAL and ICF Competencies

The CAL approach integrates the following ICF Core Competencies:

  • Establish Agreements: Define roles, goals, and session structures with clients and stakeholders, aligned with ICF Competency B3: Agreements.
  • Foster a Reflective Mindset: Stay present and manage group dynamics with curiosity and self-awareness, in line with ICF Competencies A2: Coaching Mindset and B5: Presence.
  • Create a Safe Environment: Use active listening and powerful questioning to encourage open sharing and guide participants to actionable insights, aligned with ICF Competencies B4: Trust and Safety, C6: Listening, and C7: Evoking Awareness.
  • Turn Insights into Action: Help participants set goals, build accountability, and promote learning and autonomy, in line with ICF Competency D8: Client Growth.

About the Speaker:

Ron Cheshire, MBA, PCC is a leadership coach and co-founder of The Co-Leadership Group, specializing in elevating leaders and uniting teams. He employs personalized one-on-one coaching, strengths-based team coaching, and cohort-based action-learning leadership development journeys to help leaders and teams co-create solutions, accelerate progress, and drive growth—individually and collectively. With over 30 years of experience as an executive in investment management, team leadership, and partnerships, Ron brings a wealth of expertise to his clients. He is also the co-author of the new book Codevelopment Action Learning (CAL) for Business: Co-create, Accelerate, Grow, published by Routledge - Taylor & Francis. As a seasoned Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coach Federation (ICF) and a dynamic CAL facilitator, Ron holds coaching certifications from Gallup (CliftonStrengths) and Erickson International. He is passionate about sports, particularly skiing with his family and soccer, having been a team coach for many years.
