This 60-minute Coaching Supervision Showcase offers professional coaches an experiential introduction to coaching supervision, including what it is, how it works and why it matters. Designed for curious, credentialed and growth focused coaching practitioners, this session moves beyond theory to demonstration.
Participants will gain clarity on how supervision differs from mentor coaching, how it strengthens ethical discernment and reflective capacity, and how it supports a sustainable and mature practice. The showcase will include a brief contextual overview, highlighting the leadership of organizations such as the European Mentoring and Coaching Council and the International Coaching Federation and will include a brief, live, high-level supervision demonstration.
This is not a training, nor an evaluation. It is an opportunity to observe and experience the depth, rigor, and developmental value supervision offers professional coaches. Attendees will have priority access to sign up for a bonus live group supervision series experience offered in June/July.

Coaching Supervision: Deepening Practice and Expanding Impact
Coaching supervision has long been considered a cornerstone of professional coaching practice in Europe and is gaining momentum in North America as the profession continues to mature.
Coaching supervision is a structured reflective practice where coaches step back from their client work to explore their thinking, assumptions, patterns, and ethical considerations. Unlike mentor coaching, which focuses on developing ICF competencies, supervision supports the whole practitioner by strengthening self-awareness, reflective capacity, and systemic perspective.
Supervision provides a confidential space to reflect on complex client situations, examine ethical questions, and address the isolation many coaches experience in their work. It helps sustain professional growth while supporting resilience and ethical practice.
Interest in coaching supervision is increasing across Canada and the United States, particularly following the introduction of coaching supervision competencies by the International Coaching Federation in 2024.
To introduce this practice to our community, ICF BC will host a 60-minute Coaching Supervision Showcase on Wednesday May 27, 2026 from 5-6pm. The session will offer an overview of coaching supervision along with a brief live demonstration. Participants will also have priority access to a limited series of group supervision sessions offered in June and July.
Coaching supervision invites us to pause, reflect on our practice, and continue growing in service of our clients and the coaching profession.
