Somatic Coaching is an emerging and increasingly influential approach within the coaching profession, integrating human development, neuroscience, polyvagal theory, and embodied ways of knowing. It expands coaching beyond insight and cognition to include the body as a source of intelligence, information, and sustainable change.
This ICF BC session introduces “all things somatic” while offering participants a grounded, experiential look at how somatic approaches can deepen coaching presence, expand awareness, and support lasting transformation. Short somatic presence practices will be woven throughout, along with a live coaching demonstration, using a proprietary 5-Step Somatic Inquiry Framework (5Sinq).
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the session, participants will:
• Understand the foundational principles of somatic coaching
• Recognize how embodiment supports awareness and sustainable change
• Observe somatic coaching in practice through a live demonstration
• Identify ways to thoughtfully integrate somatic inquiry into their own coaching approach
